Hello everyone!
Since the last Planeshift update, my client keeps crashing.
I didn't have this problem with the initial release of PlaneShift_CBV0.3.015.exe, but with the update that followed shortly after the release.
I am using WindowsXP Professional SP2.
Here's what happened:
When I walked from the sewers to Hydlaa Plaza, climbing up the ladder, I got a weird graphic bug (quite difficult to describe), which I also noticed before, when walking through the mountain passage, near Ojaveda. At the passage I just walked straight and it dissapeared, but in the sewers I suddenly "fell of the end of the world" and I died.
In the Death Realm my client crashed. I managed to exit the death realm (with a couple of client/computer restarts) and everything was fine while walking around Hydlaa Plaza. I went into the sewers, and again everything was fine. When I wanted to leave the Sewers again, exactly at the same spot, the same thing happend: my screen got weird and I died.
Now psclient crashes as soon as the Death Realm is loaded or just a maximum of 1 minute later.
I tried to reïnstall, play it with different user accounts, alter some settings, but with no result whatsoever.
One thing I did notice is the updater output:
==== Update started ====
Merged art/skins/base/client_base.ip/imagelist.xml
Syncing zip..
Merged art/world/sewers.zip/sound.xml
Updated vfs.cfg
Syncing.zip
Following files failed:
data/zoneinfo.xml
Please wait while saving files
====Update complete====
Since that graphic bug was between switching regions/maps perhaps this has to do something with it.
I tried a zoneinfo.xml file from another website, but that didn't work. I also tried to delete it, in the hope that psupdate would d/l and install it again, but the update output remained the same.
I got this error message in Windows:
