Questions About Repairing Weapons
« on: July 11, 2006, 12:31:48 am »
I have a few questions about Repairing Weapons:

I know that you pay for training to a certain point, but how do you practice repair so that you can get to the next level?

How high of a skill level to you need to have to repair things such as blank Encrusted Battle Axes, broad swords, and other things? A basic estimate for certain levels of weapons would be helpful.

I have one skill in repair, and i can only repair a simple one bladed axe or short sword, but that does not help me since the weapons I actually use are far more 'complex' and are very close to being totally worn out.

Thank you for any help you give me.

AFAIK this is still being worked on, you can use the /repair command and it will repair the weapon in your right hand, but once you log out and log back in, it will be reset, as i said, its still being worked on

The repair skill isn't working right now.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

It's been reported that if you actually train your repairing skill, you won't be able to repair anything really useful - like (some?) weapons - because there is no way for you to practice with the skill. And as the repairing skill hasn't been worked on at all I believe, we just have a command for now, I don't know how what you can repair gets determined once you already have points.

Well I can repair my Claymore... (starting skill from character creation)
The quality raises when I repair, up to 50 ...but does it really make any difference?
BTW: You can start repairing an item several times, while you are already working on repairing.
It takes me 53 seconds to repair my claymore once. When I type /repair again a couple of times before the 53 seconds are over the second repair task is finished just after a couple of seconds after the first one has been done. This way I could repair this claymore from 0 to 50 points within 1 minute... Can't imagine this was done intentionally - was it?
You think I cannot kill this Ulbers?
Hah! Let me show you!
Take this (+100%) FIREBAAAAaaaarrrrgh
