The Patch in the Forums Doesen't Work because of Password Protected files. *FIX*

I have downloaded the patch provided for the very recent update, but the update wasn't successfull because the .zip file's most files are password protected! I was forced to skip the file and BAM! the update doesent work. Help!

you cant skip stuff restart your computer and when you get back install the game FIRST THING then it will work

yes i do i had the same problem ive had ever problem lol the games messed up for me lol but anyways just trust me do that and it will work

BUT! While I am extracting the files, over 75% of the files are password potected! I cant install them because I dont know the password. I am forced to skip the files or cancel the extraction.

Works fine for me... apart from teh server booting me off continuously. Does this help?

Nope... WinRaR just said "Access Denied" I will try to re-download... Also will check if its because of extracting to a partition. Will try to extract to another drive and then see if it works.

EDIT: No beebing way!!! I extracted to C: instead of F: and it worked! Copying files over.

i might not understand y'all a bit...it might be because of the alcohol present in my veins, last time at Kada-El wasn't a youth one Har Har Har  ! youre saying something about password protection.. i think the computer just doesn't know the diff between copy protection and Currently used files...There is Windows Xp versions as much as there has been Planeshift ones... i think i found the answer , here it goes... ouahhhh i feel dizzy hehe :
Ctrl+alt+del - Processus   or something like that, im Quebecois. and finish the Updater.exe task ... once we run updater, it never seems to stop being used, even when we start the game.  then you can re-install, delete, modify those 7 or 8 files related to updater... as last one said, restarting computer is also a good way, (deeeeeep breath, another Shiraz Rosemount Estate (australia) draught) as it will clean up RAM and computer will run faster... i know that nerdz keep their computer running for some days... they often forget that rule... getting back to the subject - The updater is very good for everyone using XP.     
P.S. dev team - all the updater programs since some times now has stay'd in memory even after closure... ctrl alt del is now the whay i close all program... har har har shouldnt be

can someone explain in laymans terms how to do the patch without it saying the files are password protected. I dont have a clue what Ahriman means by
