The Patch in the Forums Doesen't Work because of Password Protected files. *FIX*

I presume that you are trying to extract the patch files into C:\Program Files\PlaneShift Crystal Blue. But instead of moving the patch files there, try moving them into another directory first. Try putting them in another drive, D: or F: if you have one, or if you have been trying these instead of C:, try C:. Maybe try moving them into My Documents if nothing else is available. And then if you no longer get the password prompt, just move the files where they belong - in your PlaneShift folder.

ok i got it to work but now it is saying that same thing that i am using the wrong versaion for the server

yes i have and i have done it two diffrent ways still dont owrk correctly

ok one i extracted it like we where told and it didnt work so then i extracted it to my C: drive and copied it over doesnt work

  it still says i've got the wrong verson of planeshift for the server I unzipped them into my documents and coppied them into the planeshift folder. Is it just a case of be patient or is this one of those things that is only happening to a select few.

Oh no, it says you have the wrong version, we're all gonna die!
Did you actually try to login to the game?
No...you didn't.
Because if you tried, you would've found out you can login, and it only gives that wrong version message because it's being stupid somewhere.

And by the way, this game isn't messed up; it works for everyone. The fact that you can't properly unzip the patch into the PS directory means that either YOU messed something up or your pc is messed up.
Don't blame Planeshift.

It doesnt even get to the log on screen??? as far as i know the patch went on properly when i did what karyuu said so im in a confuddlement over what to do.

You're not making it easy for us, are you?

But instead of Winzip I recommend Winrar (www.rarlabs.com).
There's nothing you can screw up.
1 Double click on the patch file, It'll open up in Winrar.
2 Click on extract to and select your PS directory (<yourdrivename>/<yourgamesfolder>/Planeshift Crystal Blue/)
3 Make sure you click "okay" when prompted to overwrite files, click "Yes to All".
4 Play the game, if it says you need a new version on the login screen, ignore it, as that's just PS being stupid somewhere.
