Well, when I launch the game and try to connect to the server it tells me I should update the game, because I have an older version, but I can still connect. There is another "version" of that message that will really block you out, but if you get that, that means you really did something wrong.
Before you try to do my manual, check if psclient.exe is still running. There was a bug in the "old" .15 PS that kept it running even after shutdown.
Try this:
Press the keys "Ctrl Alt Delete" on your keyboard. Make sure you keep holding the buttons while you press the next one. The moment you're pressing them all, release the buttons at the same time. The taskmanager then pops up. Click on the processes tab. You now see all of the processes that are running on your pc. Check if you can see psclient.exe running. If it is running, click on it and then click on "End/Terminate process" or something like that. Then resume with point 1 of my little manual.
