PlaneShift CB v0.15b!
« on: July 12, 2006, 11:37:39 pm »
Release 0.15 'b' is now becoming available on the updater mirrors!  Run updater.app in order to get the new client!

If this fails, try the 'Java' updater, by Cha0s.

I ran the updater, which updated for around 10 minutes. I ran planeshift, and it was still 0.15! No B. And it wouldn't connect. I tried both updaters many times. What's wrong?

I am on OS 10.4.4 and the updater is telling me that automatic updates are not supported for my OS, but that I should be able to fetch the update from a website or mirror. I saw no new links in Talad's main message, and this post is newer. However, the update continued after the error message and downloaded a lot of files. It finished and it is logging me into the character area, so it seems to be working. I think that was about two days until the Macintosh updater became available, that would be a damn good response time from a *commercial* software company and I appreciate that.

Heh, more like "I kept on forgetting to include the rain :)"  Rain's been around a while (although mostly unused) but it managed to "slip through my fingers".

Tr1skal: have you copied the Planeshift3D folder out of the disk image it came on?  The updater won't work correctly if the folder is write-protected.

Yes.. I've succesfully updated it other times.. this one just won't work. :(

I've ran the updater and it says all files are up to date.. the only problem is it's still only v0.15. :(

Try the Java Updater (available in The Guide). I just used it to update myself and it worked fine. I was also using update mirror (NOT download mirror) 2, if that helps.
