14k Tria at start up?

Im not sure if this is right or not. I used to play Planeshift a loooong time ago, for about a year, when the popular thing to do was run around for diamonds and roof jump. Well, yesterday, I decide to see how this baby is doing. So, I download the game, get it all started, and to my surprise I have a ton of tria. About 14k. I went to the blacksmith and I was able to buy everything there.

Anyway, my question is, was there some sort of bonus for playing before? I registered my account way back when, and when I played I made sure I used that login name. Any ideas?

A lot of things happened during the last half year. So just as little as 14K tria is not very surprising; maybe you were refunded for wiping top-slash weapons, for owning rare items, or just were lucky to get hit by a bug. Who knows...

ah god, what you had to go through to get weapons before! I had two swords, I do not recall what they were called though.

But its weird now. I updated because I couldnt damage monsters and then I also saw there was an update. So when I go into the game my character is gone. I make a new one, same name, and of course no more money =(

A lot has happened yeah, you probably lost your new character for the same reason every new character has been wiped. There was a bug that allowed new characters to train for free so they were all wiped after a certain date.

Anyways 14.000 trias really isn't that much anymore nowadays. You can get plenty of standard equipment for it but you won't be able to get much quality stuff for that price, nor much training either. Besides it's quickly made while hunting or mining.

Well it depends for who. My Nolthrir, Denerynn, only has around 48 strength, meaning that I can only carry 8 gold ores, and only when I don't have any weapons but my pick in my inventory.
