Ok talking to zorbels, then we both realised OOC we had no idea where or how smoke left the cavern. IE smoke from chimey fires, furnaces etc. Only thing I can think of is there are some small tunnels at the top which let smoke escape, otherwise the top of the cavern would fill with smoke all the time, so where do you think all the smoke goes?

It dissapates into the atmosphere as carbon and is then taken in by plants to use for photosynthesis, just like in real life.

Where does the smoke go when it leaves your chimney?  It goes up into the air and comes back down in rain or just eventually settles.  The cavern is a fully self-contained system, and the same rules apply.  Nothing special happens.

I bet it IS the crystal. Think about it. We don't know much about it, only that getting too close means being disintegrated. That must mean that even smoke must get disintegrated by it.
Ok, its the quote which i chosen as the most sesnsless of the whole thread ;P
So you are basicaly saying that when the molecule approaches crystal, it disappears? But you want only the CO2 and other waste to do so... What about Nitrogen? :P And more imortant, what about molecules of O2 ? :P I bet they disappear too !!
But what do we breath after that?
Furher, why won't the rock around crystal won't disappear too? :D
What would stop it from making the whole planet to disappear? :o
But after all this we would have evil space crystal travelling through the space and looking for other worlds to disappear \o/

On other topic. CO2 is heavier than O2 so its the bottom leavels who would be pretty sc****.

And i believe its the photosynthesis and rain which make the air breathable.
photosynthesis for CO2 and rain for dissolved in air residues.

*cough* Who said there is a principle of molecules/atoms/even our understanding of physics in the PS world?

Interesting points.....but....whos to say all things are the same in the world of PS.
Are we sure that PS has all the exact same ellements as the real world ?

Edit: Alfonso beat me to it :( but i posted anyway :p

Sorry for going OffTopic... but hey, there are in fact gods, so matter can in fact simply be... maybe the same principles apply to some things in the PS world as in the real world, but I only want to say, do not let your imagination be limited by such boring things as physics  ;)

so the fact that the bricks and fire and grass and most things in game look exactly the same as the real world is complete coinsedence even though everything is made out of different stuff?

Hmmm, i figure out of small air pockets in the stalagtite, because of the natural formation of the rock. That, your something with the Azure Crystal. I dont figure the explaination it could be too hard to explain.

yeah, the crystal eats it :P... if you touch the crystal it burns you up and suck the energy out of you

The concept of an atom is older than the time period the world is comperable to.  I don't think it'd be likely to be too well known, however, and it's obviously missing large portions of knowledge.  That being said, this is quite a bit of over-analyzing.  Don't rack your brain trying to figure out where the smoke goes... it's spawning out of nothing.  We don't even know where it's coming from most of the time.  :P

How are you correcting me?  o.O

I said the concept of the atom is older than the stuff we're using.  You said no, it's not, it's from ancient Greece... the "older" thing I was reffering to.  Unless some weird time travel is involved, you're saying the exact same thing I was.

My god... this weirdo can argue without squat...

Ok, time for an off-topic lock.
