Music Skill and Combat
« on: July 22, 2006, 11:09:22 pm »
I have searched for a thread like this, but could not find one, if there is, just lock and post with where the thread is.

Ok..i've been wondering.

I would like to see that the music skill will have some play in combat, especially in wars with big battles.  Music like trumpets and dums were used back in the day to rally troops, and i think that it would be nice to have a few musicians in a battle, and it could up strength, agility, and make it clearer for a mage to access a certain way.

I know that music hasn't been put in yet, but when it is, it would be nice to see this.

Cool idea, and I'm all for it :} Besides, music can probably be used to inflict damage or status effects as well.

Maybe there could be warp songs put in sometime to warp to specific areas like in Zelda. Like the "Paean of Laanx" would warp you to the Laanx Temple.

yeah...and then you can play a flute....and then one of those huge flying creatures..(forgot the name) comes and picks you up...(like kinda in zelda the minish cap) but it will be your huge flying creature not just a random little bird..

just joking dave

but seriously it would be cool to have the music that could change your stats,  I know it might now be for a while, but just keep it in your heads please.

thanks,

Kyzer

Music for spells and buffs is a common RPG thing.  We might eventually do something, but it'd be a long way off.

why not enchanted music (apart from normal music to play in the streets for trias  :D) to brainwash the creaturs. e.g. the tune of terror: the air around the creature moves on by the tune of a flute  ;D or the bad tune: the monsters hear terrible noise and lose hp
