Program Ending.

For some reason my computer randomly closes the program as it loads. (you know, the screen before you acctually enter the game play where everything loads) The bar will be about an eighth of the way blue and then, with no explaination, it closes and I'm looking at my desk top again. I have run the updates, and there was no change. I even ran a virus scan of my computer and tried again just in case. The server appeared to be working fine when I checked it on the website. I wish I had more information to give you on exactly what is happening, but the thing is, I don't know. If anyone can help me it would be very much apreciated.

Why did you post this in "IN GAME bugs" then :P

Can you please post your system specs, and try again making sure that no virus scanners are running? Just in case one is somehow interfering. It's been known to happen.

im gettin kinda the same.

i open PS
log in
select 'Myrthe'
click Join
the loading screen comes up
then the whole screen turns black
the only way to get back to Desktop is CTRL+ALT+DELETE and end program

ive waited while i ate lunch (like 20 minutes) on the black screen but nothing happens

I'll need the same information I requested above, Myrthe :} System specs including your OS, and make sure that you have as little running in the background as possible. Otherwise we have no information to go on.

no firewall or any of that stuff
i always CTRL+ALT+DELETE and delete all processes except for explorer before running PS
specs are:
XP
510MB RAM
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.8 GHz
Direct X 9.0c (if that matters)
(your gonna cringe at this one i know i do) Intel Graphics Controller 82865G
with 96 MB RAM
and 32 bit color
and 60Hz

there is absolutely no graphics card inserted. im going to buy one in the near future. (as in a few weeks)

I'm under the impression that Myrthe was able to play on that machine before... or was another computer in use? I would strongly suspect the lack of a graphics card as well.

lol yes ive played PS before a bunch on this PC. i hadnt run the updater...and so i did. i dont know if thats making a difference because the server is being screwy. ill edit this post when something comes up.

well, thats what idk. as i said, the server is acting up and jumps on and off every couple of minutes and at the moment my comp says its FAILED... but ima try again right now and we'll see, eh?

EDIT_- Sweet, it works now. all i had to do was run the updater. -_EDIT
