your single arent you.....the best advice i could give that kid Dahari. friends come and go but when you find somone you love thats a very rare thing...a friend will stab you in the back and then help you up so he can do it again. now im not saying just say screw the friendship and take the girl.. but they should understand, if they are really friends and not just people you talk to they will be happy for you, if they get mad. well look at some of the members of bands like marilyn manson, slayer, cradle of filth, canibal corpse, and 6feet under....people either get kicked or leave the band and those members go off to be either lead vocals or guitarist or something else n get rich. sometimes bad things that happen to you just turn out to be good things that you had to pay hell for to get

The reverse is actually true for me. My friends are people who I trust and share a sense of loyalty with and we've known eachother for many years, while my lovers have come and gone. Some of them have been more fickle than others. Some I still talk to while others I'll probably never see again. But I'd definately say that my friends have stayed true to me more than my romantic interests have.

biruno: This might come as a surprise to you, but girls are people to. Also, having a girlfriend when you're 11-13 doesn't count for a damn thing in the big scheme of things.

thats true in a way and then again its not...i met the girl im soon to be married to when i was 15. we broke up one time for a short period of time n got back together. couldnt be more happy

That's 2 different views on things. Now to the logical part: What is more probable? That you find the love of your life at 15, or you keep searching, meeting new partners along the way until you settle with someone.

People change a lot between the time they're 11 and 15, and you'll change a lot going from 15 to your mid 20's... and from your mid 20's to middle age... it's just the way life works.

So far Santiago and Kiern have made a lot of sense. Everyone else has been pretty random.

Venge, I don't like your advice. Maybe it's just poorly worded. I've never regretted being honest. Tact helps, though. I'm not saying that you need to go blurt everything out to everyone, though. Of course not. That would be stupid.

I have to agree with Zanzibar on his advice. My best friend and I have been tight for ten years. She has always been there for me. She even tells me the stuff I don't want to hear. She will be my friend till the day I die. Where as ex- boyfriends don't really hold that status in my life, and like zanzibar they have come and gone and some of them I still talk to .... but I don't share the same relationship of comfort I do with my best friend because with her I have no doubts that she has my best interests at heart.
