problem with airsoft guns is they are cheap they break and well you cant get revenge on somone by shattering a car windows like you could with a paintball gun at 300 psi
Are you kidding me? If you get a proper AEG those things last for years. Airsoft guns are cheap in that they cost you less. They look cooler, last long, and with about 500 bucks you can get a loadout that rivals most anyone else. Can you get a competitive paintball loadout (with clothes, mask, paintballs, everything) for that much? And airsoft bbs cost a lot less the paintballs. Less messy too. And usually you don't have to worry about shattering car windows while you play (just due to less mass). In regards to power, most AEG's fire in the 300 fps range, but most good ones can be upgraded up to almost 600 fps (which is dangerously high, although it is possible to even get to 700-900 fps) They usually have an RPM comparable to their real life counterparts. Of course these are the high level AEG's which usally cost around $300.
Personally, I'd rather run around with an M4-A1 replica than a bundle of pipe with a can attached (although I admit, paintball is fun in its own respect) Besides, running around woodland in camo, darting from cover to cover, spinning around trees, doing swat raids in abandoned buildings is a lot more interesting than squatting around some inflated obstacles in bright orange jumpsuits. They make great movie props too.
