Bigfoot, its time for you to get a lesson in history ;) .

First thing, it was the Union vs. the Confederates, yankies would exclude many middle states of that time :P .

Secondly, depending on where you want to start in the war, WW2 could be blamed on Japan, because that was when America entered the war.   :P
