Data wiping crashes?!?

While playing planeshift i get small crashes now and then but for some reason ive been crashing and then when i log back in my trained skills are back to the previous level. I think i have trained almost to level 31 knives and daggers 2-3 times but it just comes back to 30. The strange thing though is that the loots that i got during are still in my inventory?

i think its a bug, thought i might post it.

oh of course this is a bug. Whats happening is the server is crashing without warning, meaning that nothing you have done previously had been saved to your character. I know how you feel man, after training Mining for so long its tough to come back after a crash and find that its all the way back down to the start (start of practice points) I believe it really only happenes to SKills though....

I know exactly how you feel.  I just spent a couple days stockpiling steel stock.  I had'nt noticed this before and was wondering why it was taking so long to level blacksmithing and knifemaking.  I'd done little bits here and there but never seemed to gain anything.  So after stockpiling 50 steel stock I went to work.  Used about half of em and got almost to next level in bs and knifemaking.  After crash came back and started working again only to find I was back a t the beginning of each level.  # days work down the drain.

I dont really get it though. Shouldnt the server save a characters stats and whereabouts every couple of minutes or so? I thought that happened anyway?
