That longer explanation helped a ton, Anfa. Thanks for typing that out - I didn't have any other source of information as to what happened.

I'm afraid the list with the quest-requiring items is my fault - at the original time of composition, all the quests were working and there were no NPC problems. I should have modified it before the event start, and this is completely my mistake. Impossible items should have been taken off the list entirely. Again, I'm really sorry for this lapse.

I think the GMs just weren't entirely prepared to take this over for me. They didn't plan the event and didn't have the sort of "inside mini-plans" on how to handle various situations and speedbumps. Thus they were worried and frustrated and trying to balance all these things at once and not entirely attentive - not the best situation, but still a bit understandable I hope.

A lesson, all in all.

Maybe to smooth things out, Everyone who participated could begiven a little something as a "thanks for being involved in our event, sorry it didn't go so well, hope this makes up for our mistake" kinda present.  No matter who was declared the winner, it seems that everyone that participated desserves a little something for their patience during the event.  :)

(and to anyone who thinks I'm just tryin to get free stuff, I'm not.  I was sleeping during the event so I missed it.  Just trying to be mr. nice guy negotiator and make everyone happy.)

Sure, sounds good :]

Can you guys make a list of who was present, for as much as possible?

Karyuu - in my opinion, simply putting a list of items to collect was not the kind of "Scavenger Hunt" I expected. From the explanation which kind of event it would be, I expected instead something similar to the Scions' hunt, where people were sent between several stations and were told hints to find the next station. Such a kind of event does not require to empty your pockets before starting. It required several participants, though; but I am sure that some more experienced players would have taken such a task with joy...

This event could have been a chance to make people familiar with the area. Instead, they got sent away from it.

last time i heard scavenger being used it was for a group of people who were searching treasures in piles of garbage to find something useful, i didn't expect a list of items either but to run around the bronze door region and collect as many items as possible.

I thought this was mentioned already. Why the surprise?

[...] With the organization of several separate teams
And their pursual of a list of items, which will given at the beginning of the event.

The teams will first gather by the Eagle Head at the Bronze Doors fortress, where they will then be told what items they need to hunt for.

Since Xillix was unable to be at the event due to unforeseen scheduling problems, I tried to assemble as many of her team members as possible and then recruited some more thru shameless begging.  :D  With a big thanks to Ralleyon for helping me re-create the list from logs, this was our team:

Ralleyon
Arka
Morduk
Zirkron
Huor
Lyudeena
Zhai
Belaf

I don't think rewards for nonwinning teams have been given out yet. Will probably have to wait a bit for those, but they will be given out :} We'll have to catch you in-game for them.
