Please help

Whenever I try to log into PlaneShift, a pop-up comes up that says "Please Run The Updater", and I run it. Then the updator closes on it's second touch to the end (top bar) and then it closes. So I open PlaneShift again and the whole process starts over.

 Have you followed the install instructions in that thread exactly how it states to install PS?

I have the exact same problem.

So, I tried to follow the instructions given in the link posted above but when I came to extract the zip file to the planeshift folder I was unable to because copies of the extracted files already existed in that folder and a password is required to overwrite them.

If it is asking for a password, simply extract all the files in the Zip to a temp folder somewhere.  Then, take all the files from that temp folder and copy over the files in the PS folder, selecting yes to all when it asks if you wish to over write existing files.
