Parent names

I was wondering if there is a way to find out the names you put as your parents. My RL brother is making a character that will be my character's In game brother. I just wanted to make it add to the role play better.

Those names don't affect anything in-game at all, and the majority of players ignore their character creation choices (taking it out of their description too) and build their histories and personalities however they want.

If you have taken out the character description that was generated for you, there is no way to find out what your choices were. But again, roleplay doesn't have to rely on what you did during character creation.

To restate this interesting question:

Are the names of parents and other creation data, stored only in the description file?

Or is there another copy perhaps, in a log file somewhere else?

It would be nice to be able to see what you started with, if you wanted to build a character with attributes similar or different to another, or recreate one after glitch or wipe.

Not at the moment. Your best bet is to just copy over the original description before changing it around.

the question's about parents name. Your confusing it now with profession, I think.

I'm talking with the risk of not having created a new char as to test this, but just from what I can recall, but I'd say that parents names never show in char description (that shows profession of each other) and Nukl, what you've been told is true, just don't worry much about it, anyway, remember that you pick up your char name first, even you can put a surname there, and then at the parents screen, that surname will not appear appended to any of them.

Truth is that parents name really doesn't matter at all, and you can roleplay being an in game brother with your RL brother perfectly, you just agree to it, and agree to who your parents were and their names. You just have then to keep that in mind and RP accordingly.

My mistake - I thought your parents' names were in the description as well. Our basic points remain though
