merchants back pack, stall (shop) kit
« Reply #2 on: August 19, 2006, 07:01:16 pm »

:this somewhat part a wish :D
a merchants back pack, to let traders carry more weight and items, and a small shop parts like a tent.

the backpack could be upgraded to the merchant be able to carry some transport animals making like a small caravan, and extra features for the shop/tent like space, decorations, personalized shop sign(name and job specialty(tailor, pelts, crafts etc etc))

at a final state the shop could be upgraded to a big tent like 20-30m squared that could be used by merchant guilds and host several merchants (it would also need more then 3 people to carry the various parts of the tent)

im guessing you have trouble or little experience with uwv mapping? That makes me sad because thats definitely what makes a model, not to mention, what I find the most fun.

Very very nice backpack though. I love it.

ah, such a shame. I really recommended you look that up one day. There are plenty of good free tutorials online, very easy and simple to use as well. Trust me, you will be glad you learned how to in the end.

Also, if its the 2d part of texturing that you have trouble with, go for photo-realistic textures. Take pictures of objects like rust, bolts, wood, bark, metal, anything. Hell, use google if you need to. Then you can usually make a nice blend of cutting and pasting, blurring, and painting in a program like photoshop or the gimp.

If you want to learn and ever need any help, there are plenty of modellers here that im sure are willing, especially myself.  :)

UV unwrapping for a model such as that mace object is very simple, so that would be a good place to start
