Strange fonts - can't see a thing

Hello,

I'm new to the game. I installed it according to the installation guide and applied the patch. Well, all my .exe-files work, but I get a strange screen whatever I open (see below the updater screen) - seems like a font is missing. As I can't read anything on the screens, I don't know where to click or what to enter.

I read a thread about the missing becker-m.ttf, but this one is installed in the proper dir.

Could anyone please help? I would love to have a look at the game and it would be great if this problem could be fixed.

My first suggestion would be to update your graphics card drivers :}

Hi,

thx, after updating my graphic card drivers I can read the text on the buttons and labels (even the picture I posted, looks now better - propably the way you see it). But I still got problems - I can see the radio buttons, but I can't see anything standing beside it or beside the scroll bars.

Mm, still seems like some sort of graphical problem :} Let's see, can you post your system specs, graphics card and driver version included?

Here's the specs of my pc:

Pentium 4 Mobile CPU 1,7Ghz processor
Microsoft Windows XP Pro SP2
512 MB RAM
30 GB hard drive
S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR
Driver version: 6.13.10.1067

I'm afraid there is nothing that you can do with this graphic card. A quick Google search shows that the driver for this adapter is known to be broken and not working with OpenGL. Google Earth help center recommends using DirectX for it, but it is not an option for PlaneShift.
