a few pet ideas

it would be a great idea if you could feed something to a pet, though it couldn't die of hunger (i think) it would at some realism to the game. Maybe they could also grow, when it reaches a certain amount of in-game days it reaches the next stage of life, were its bigger, and maybe has different appearence. When it reaches the last stage it stays that way ( or dies after a while, dev's choice). And maybe whe they get big enough some pets cn also be used as mounts? In this form you go faster when running. Also maybe pet combat, were it helps you fight. In both combat and mount mode it should have a seperate stats window that shows health, mana, physical stamana, ect. And maybe if the pet dies it gets unsummoned and can't come back for the whole day.
I would love it if pets could stay more then three minutes, when the abuse risk is gotten rid of, maybe ith the sign post idea or something. an when the masonry skill comes, mabe we could make pet stuff? Who knows.

you can feed your pet already, just drop a pie or a fish and summon them infront of it, the'll leave once theyve had enough. [watch out for food thieves though  >:( }

the first bit about feeding them is pretty original, the rest seems like stuff i've seen posted before.

Regular food items... perhaps wheen they are older, as they are babies--

but maybe make buyable baby fomula so they can stay summoned longer as babies?

wit ha separate hp and stuff it should be underneath yours expanding the (info?) window also a pic of your head next to your and your pets hp stuff would be nice (i think its in WOW)

YEA great idea gondric!!! then we can also put in turtles that we jump on so they hide in their shell!!! so we can pick up the shells hurl themm into enemies!! we could even make it that green shells just go straight till they bounce & red ones act like homing devices (i think thats almost as original)

actually feeding the pet is not original, i know of a game that already works on that idea.

Ps. animal abuse using them as signs could possibly be fixed if you only allow the animal to be named once

There's a (not so) subtle, but distinct difference between an incredibly unoriginal concept like "They do X in game Y, so this game should also do X", and an unoriginal (by contrast to other games) but logical concept from real life like "living things eat food" whether or not it exists in other games.

And, while it is not an original concept on its own, when i reffered to the idea as being original I meant that as a suggestion for this game, I had yet to see it posted. I think we're all pretty clear on the whole "things that exist in reality aren't the most original ideas to implement to the game". But obviously some of those ideas are posted weekly, others less often.

I'll leave it at that because i think you got my meaning, & the comment about feeding pets not being original because it happens in other games was meant as a  ;D :P type of thing.
