« on: September 10, 2006, 12:51:04 pm »
Hello, This is the promotion thread for the yliakum knights

Ranks are as follows...
Squire <--- newbie rank
Knight
Great Knight
Elite Knight
Hero
Paladin
Sir Chaz <--- chazarus
Sir. Gondric <-- me

History (might be changed sorta temp for now)
A young Dwarf called Gondric was born in the town of Hydlaa. He grew up in a small suburb called delvor in east hydlaa. (actual place is the lower part of east hydlaa) it was nice little suburb where nothing much happened then one day a group of rouges came into town and looted the suburb and killed anyone who got in their way. only a few men and women remained after the attack. Gondric Father was killed fighting against the rouges and his mother was pushed form a second story window. Gondric was taken in by a family of Enkis who were their neighbours. They soon left delvor and travelled to ojaveda and had a small general store there selling various goods. As he was 13, and old enough to understand what has happend in the past, he swore that as long as he lives he would do everything that is possible to keep away the rouges out of Delvor and Hydlaa. And he swore that no other child will get in the same dire situation like him.
After that realisation, his first thought was to become very strong and gather more beeings with the same attitude, to fight with combined forces against the enemies.
After a sleepless night he thanked his stepparents for all they did, and he began the travel back to Hydlaa to do his destination."
On the way he met a Master Craftsmen called chazarus who was a fine craftsman and his partner vihed. they were also heading to hydlaa so gondric told them his story as they walked. chazarus was also a master of the blade and taught gondric alot about how to wield a sword as they went along the long dusty road. one night they stopped at an inn along ojaveda road and slept there overnight. he overheard 3 of wild men talking about Delvor, Gondric Listened for a while a heard them say that they in the group of rougess who looted Delvor all those years ago. Gondric went up stairs to his room and took Chazarus's blade from inside chaz's backpack and crept downstairs. Gondric Walked up to the men and unsheathed his sword. He quickly killed the first of the men and stabbed the second in the back. the third was allerted to what was going on and started fighting gondric. The wild man gave Gondric a cut just above his left eyebrow. Vihed who woke up form all the comotion came down and threw one of his finely crafted daggers at the mans head and got his staight in the eye. "what the hell are you doing Gondric" yelled Vihed. "they killed my parents" said gondric.
Vihed shook his head an went back upstairs. Gondric soon followed. The next day they travveled the rest of the way to Hydlaa and Gondric went to have a look at Delvor it was a mess but his house was still there... abandoned. So Gondric decicded to move back into his house and asked Chazarus if he wanted too aswell. Chaz accepted since he didnt have a house. Vihed moved in with his Brother. Gondric Stayed in his house for many years and he noticed as the years pasted in how bad shape Hydlaa was so much crime murder. Gondric had become a great swordsman and had come in possesion of some fine blades and very strong armor. Gondric decided to join The Yliakum Knights which was a the few guards that hydlaa had at the time which needed members. He rose up thru the ranks over the years and was appointed a Squad of his own which consisted of a few Men. Gondrics group headed out of hydlaa one day and went to one of the nearby villages. Hydlaa was attacked while Gondrics Squad was out at the village. The Yliakum knights were heavily outnumbered and lost the battle hydlaa was looted and burnt in some areas. By the time Gondric got back the enemie force was gone. Gondric was the highest ranking Knight left and was appointed Leader of the Yliakum knights.
Chazarus and Vihed made the Yliakum knights some high quality wepons and armor so that next time hydlaa was attacked they could defend it more easily. 3 years pasted an Hydlaa returned to normal and The yliakum knights were not needed anymore. The hydlaa Guard took over the defense of hydlaa. Delvor had since been abandoned by all who lived in it except Gondric and a few others who were in the yliakum knights who lived there. The Yliakum Knights Took over Delvor and claimed it as their Own now all in the yliakum knights live there. It became their barracks of sorts. This is how the Yliakum knights became under the leadership of Sir. Gondric.
Looking for warriors to join...

The war was cancelled due to problems in winds of abyss mainly there leader leaving.

If your name was mentioned in the history and ur annyoyed by that ill change it................. maybe

I can personally say, if you join this guild You will succeed.

I know gondric and He is the type of leader everyone can look up to.

And where gondric falls short there is Chazarus to hold him steady.

Chazarus has helped me many times and is one of Yliakums Greatest Sword crafters, he has many 1000 quality swords that hit like /10's.

These 2 leaders with their strong family bond they help create make ONE great team.

Seriously check them out before you go to any other guild.

A gm informed a certain kran i know that intentionally crafing weapons to excessively high qualiy because they hit so hard, as you described, is tantamount to cheating as it is a bug exploit... I don't know that it is necessarily the wisest thing to be advertizing..

Creating a quality 10k/50 sounds at least odd to me. I mean, something regarding the math of this problem doesn't seem quite right. If MaxQuality = 50 and YourWeaponsQuality = 10.000 then hmm... you'd get some stack overflow or something :P. So... yeah, that is a bug. And... yeah it will be fixed. Oh, and... yeah, abusing it is considered cheating because it is a bug... and people are exploiting it... and exploiting a bug is cheating. And, of course, you could say that you got that quality by unwilingly heating and cooling a blade untill you got bored to tears but my guess is that nobody will believe you. Thus prooving that you were aware of the bug and intentionally exploited it.

Dont say things like that. Give them a chance before you go predicting their downfall.

The guild interests me. Do you have a website or some sort of extra information I can read?
