Wow a thing for krans, hope its not something like "new visuals to choose from upon character creation" cause that would be a bit weak, tho still cool to see on the new krans...
If chess is added i have about 0.000 000 000 expectation of the victor relying at all on their intel stats...
Then again that could be explained easily, plenty o savants...
But the more i think abut it, the more it seems to upset me that chess of all things is being put in...
I think i'd be more comfortable if everyone was given ranged wepaons, that only work on me, that they can aim whatever way they prefer, with infinite range, even through walls & mapborders, and i'm not allowed to carry one, and i am as easy to attack as a npc, don't even need to make duel challenge...
Because then i'd just keep dying all the time rather than being humiliated by always losing or rejecting chess challenges...
sadly this is a personal issue, i wouldn't say not to have it just for idiots like myself. If it's good for the game, good for roleplay etc, then good & g--er--talad bless...
I just have issues with chess because i've had more than one occasion where i explain i know how to play but am really not any good, then the challenger, let's call them ChessExpert, ChessExpert is all "oh i'm sure we're proably about the same level"... Then ChessExpert whips out a clock (i think only 1 brought a clock)-- takes about 30 seconds of his time & 5 minutes of mine before i realize he cleaned my clock & he says something like "well i didn't think you'd fall for the [insert name of studdied chess-strategy-thing here]"...
To me, adding this is like it would be for non-sport enthusiast nerds if football were implemented.. all those liberty deffence plays & stuff... wait... my footbal experience is limited to the waterboy & the longest yard... Guess I'm an idiot and one of those non-sport-enthusiast nerds... NERRRRRDS!!!
(i think revenge of the nerds should get a modern remake, like all those other movies are getting... thing is we're in an era where the nerds are so dominant they often take the role jocks used to... Unless the setting is athletic...)

Please dont take my personal gripe with chess as ingrattitude of any form for the update, I very much look forward to see all the other changes & i am thankful for whatever makes the game better for all, even if it makes me a little less enthused to play
