Home again

Soft rainfall fell on the roof of the old building. Disuse had caused the once pristine tiles to become an array of cracked and malaligned jigsaw pieces. Rain dripped through, on to the beams below. In a dusty bar that had long ago been claimed by the spiders, pools of water gathered on the floor as the wooden ceiling wept. The early dawn light was seeping through misted windows, falling upon furniture stacked neatly on tables, a fireplace that housed a clean, swept but long abandoned hearth.

On this subdued grey morning, a key rattled in a lock. When once it was neatly oiled, it was now noisy, yet it yielded. The door itself was stuck slightly and groaned and creaked before being flung open with some effort.

A figure walked in, shaking the morning rain off with each soft step. It pulled back it's hood and looked around the room.

She was an enkidukai, with a complicated tribal painting across half her face. It was called a Kei'da, and she meticulously applied it into the fur every time it faded. Each line had a meaning, each symbol told a tale.

Ayshe looked around the damp, abandoned common room of the Felines Lair guildhall and smiled.
Home again.

Some clarification:

At the time I posted the "disbanded" speech, it was my intent to close the doors for good. At that time I was planning for my wedding and believed I needed more free time.

Anyone who knows me personally will know exactly how that turned out.

Regardless, I never actually disbanded ingame, just set it "secret" so the tags would not show. My own arrogant pride at work, I just could not bring myself to disband.

My then-second-in-charge, the lovely JJaiirr, still wanted to continue our proud traditions. After a couple of months, I aquiesced. I gave her command of the guild, remaining the owner and level 9 ingame. I kept my distance to see what would become of it, intending to post here should it prove viable.

It did indeed, but I neglected to post. Felines Lair is alive, happy and well under JJairr's direction. I am still set as leader of the guild and do play from time to time, but it is Jj's hard work that has brought our new members. To my delight, she has maintained a strong roleplay requirement, and upheld all of the things that I always expected of the Lair.

This post is to make official what some ingame surely must realise; Felines Lair never really left.

Greetings Ayshe. Pleased to see your return. Can I try and join again like I did two years ago, even though I'm not an Enkidukai anymore? :D

You never left our thoughts or hearts, Sir Ayshe. I would jump to join, but truth to tell, the only enki I have is humble Hyuken, created by my friends and I in irc. And he is glued to the bar.

(I actually don't like playing enkis...but Hyuken is just so lovable.)

Ceylon comes across a building. It looks like it has been recently occupied, and Enkidukai are talking in excited voices. Ceylon finds out this is the Feline's lair.

Hmm,the Feline's lair. I wonder how to join.It would be lovely to get to know some fellow Enkidukais.  :)
Excuse meow... I mean me. Are there any requirements to joining you? Is this even the right place to ask? Last of all, who can I talk to?
