Theres a pancake on my head

Standard introductions are so passe.  So, without any cause, I'll be completely random.  Nice to meet you.

I am a longtime fan of rpgs, this will be my first 3d MMO.  I own WoW, but I never really wanted to play it because everyone else does.  Like that makes any sense.  Hopefully I'll find something I'm looking for in planeshift.  I'm a pretty avid gamer, a servicemember in the US Navy, and a regular at rpgforums.com.  I'm kinda checking this out on behalf of my friends at the site;  if I like what I see I'll try to convert some people and quite possibly help to construct a section for this game at the site.

Here's what you should expect: Bugs and not implemented stuff, that will be pretty anoying for some people but watching a MMO grow, participating to its growth and developpement, and last but not least the best comunity evarr will get you hooked, and make you stay, I hope :)

Uh, hi guys. I'm Spiritoftherain. I saw Karyuu on another community, and she mentioned this fabulous new game called Planeshift that she was developing, so I followed her over here and uh, here I am. *nod*

After a terrifying amount of manual instruction (aren't you glad I actually looked at the forums without calling you guys on tech support lessons? =P), I finally got this client thing playing on my computer, and so far have been thoroughly confuzzled by the character creation options. Still, I'm learning as I go!

Hope someone will be around to show me the ropes when I finally get rolling online. =)

While you're waiting for the update, you might want to check the playerguide and some forum stickies with help to get started.
Keep in mind though, that things are constantly being added and changed in game, and that the info sources tend to lag behind a bit.
