I would also like to make a change with regard to requirements.

Most games have minimum requirements and a recommended system. Since I have tested Planeshift a a low-end computer I'd like to change the minimum requirements altogether and the ones displayed now become the recommended ones.

In short:


• Minimum Requirements:
    - computer with operating system: Windows, Linux or MacOS
    - Minimum 500Mb of free space on your Hard Disk
    - Athlon running at 1Ghz or equivalent Intel Celeron/Pentium Processor
    - Video card with at least 64 MG of RAM. GeForce2 MX 400 with 64MB has been tested and runs PlaneShift perfectly. ATI Radeon equivalent or better recommended.
    - 256Mb of RAM or more.
    - 1GB swap file recommended
    - Internet conection
    - You should disable firewalls or routers blocking port 7777

• Recommended system:

    - Minimum 500Mb of free space on your Hard Disk

Basically I adjusted these settings a bit because I am running PS both on a platform with an integrated graphics card (laptop) and on an old computer of mine with the following specs: Athlon Thunderbird 950 Mhz, 256MB RAM, 1GB swap, graphics card Geforce2 MX 400 64MB and it runs PERFECTLY both under Linux and Windows XP.

If it sounds reasonable to you, I'll get to adding the new data in the Wiki.

Basically I adjusted these settings a bit because I am running PS both on a platform with an integrated graphics card (laptop) and on an old computer of mine with the following specs: Athlon Thunderbird 950 Mhz, 256MB RAM, 1GB swap, graphics card Geforce2 MX 400 64MB and it runs PERFECTLY both under Linux and Windows XP.

I'd recommend a geforce3 or better for a minimum.  A geforce2 works just fine until you enter the bronze door region. Once there you might as well sign your death wish.
