The Story of Hunari

Prologue

A female Demorian was laying on her bed, in intense pain from the new life that was about to be delivered. She was about to have the baby, about to have a son, but something went through her head while her baby was being delivered - What is the purpose of life? Why were there so many different races of people and animals, instead of everyone and everything being the same?

She thought it was unusual that these things were going through her head right when she was about to have a child. Even after the Xacha had given her the baby to hold in her arms, she did not show any excitement over the newborn, just continued to drift in her thoughts. Why was this child just born? What purpose will he have in life? Do we all just live, with no main purpose or responsibility? What would there be if Yliakum was never created? Nothing? What is nothing? How can there be nothing? Would it just be a dark world with no feeling, no sound, no thoughts?

The baby was crying, and continued to cry as his mother continued to think. With no purpose in life, what point is there in continuing to live? This child holds no specialty; none of us do. So why is he here? Why are WE here? There is no point in having a world, no point in living at all. The steps in life for everyone are very simple. Childhood, teenager, adult, elder. After that, could we return to the nothingness...after we die? What would happen if we died another way? Someone killed us...what would happen then? Would we feel the pain even in the nothingness? If we feel that, how could there be nothing? There is never nothing.

The Xacha looked at the woman, wondering why she was staring expressionless at the wall while her child continued to scream and cry. If there was a point of nothingness, why didn't we know? We lived in that nothingness once...yet, we had no feeling. How could we have no feeling? Would we just...float? No, drift, in that darkness, not hearing, not feeling, not seeing...? What is going through this child's head right now? Where was he before his father was born? Was he drifting in that nothingness? If he gets older, smarter, would he be able to remember what the nothingness was like? Surely he can remember the darkness now, but will he forget like everyone else? Please...be different, connect with the other side and make something of yourself...tell us what it is like...what it is like to be nothing...

Interesting... Is there a point? I mean, I assume that this is the introduction to some "dark" character, but...
