missing 3d driver???
« on: September 22, 2006, 01:16:29 am »
Hi guys, long time since last trouble, but my day has come... here's the facts: made the update, bits set, but the client doesn't launch at all. So, cheking the console (and the terminal window, trying to start from there), got this message:

[40mpsclient:  No 3d driver (iGraphics3D) plugin!

...and in the terminal window:

Crystal Space for MacOS/X 0.99 r0 [MacOS/X-powerpc-GCC]

psclient:  No 3d driver (iGraphics3D) plugin!

So, both messages ask for some 3d plugin... is something missing, or I'm too distract and missed something in the process...?

Sorry for the trouble, but thanks in advance if you have an ideea about...

PS - forgot to tell you, got the same message with both the client "updater" and the "updater-old.jar"

Ohh, ya... good point - take a look (but these are the same specs I had, nothing changed since last psclient sessions):

The only change I made was (after I got that weird message) the update of the video driver - released a couple of months after I've bought my laptop... but the message is still there, even after that update. Saw the message again, updated the client once more (just in case...), bits set after each update trial (both versions, native & java), but nothing.
I'm sure I'm not doing something properly, but not sure what... Thanks for your attention, Chaos

Try a clean install with the Java installer. If that doesn't help, we'll bring in dfryer. ;)

Sorry for the late reply... reading your post, today I managed to launch the client... really enjoy these moments when you're right :))) Thanks a lot! I just put away the "version.dat" file before start the java updater and that's all...
Not that I understand what was with that "missing plug-in" message, but who cares lol... it's working! You're the man, tnx again.
