Question to Mods about New Game Version
« on: February 15, 2003, 11:30:26 am »
I was just wondering if the new version of the game will be a beta?
And will there be any preview, or some facts about the new release: When it\'s due, what it will include etc.

It would be really nice if someone of the mods would like to answer

The game looks great, keep up the work...!  :D

Hello all, i\'m new to this board, it\'s about a week i follow this project from the outside, and now i decided to join the forum to become a member of the community  :D

It would be great to know a bit more about the progress of the project... the last update on the site is old 2003-2-4.......

I hope they are working hard... prolly they are working so hard that they don\'t have time to come here on the forum wasting time to update us......

if it\'s so, well that\'s great anyway coz the game will develope faster and we will be able to play a beta soon :)

i hope so.......

Hi, welcome to the soon-to-be-best-game-in-the-universe-known-as-PlaneShift!

Well, the team IS working hard but you have to realize that they also have jobs during the day hours. They do this mostly in their free time, thus it can take a bit longer at times.
Some of the devs do visit these forums though, you\'ll recognize them quick enough.

That said, i\'ll leave you with the comforting thought that MB (the next release) will be out soon.

And welcome again.

edit: to answer the question of the previous poster; no the next version will not be beta, i think you can best define it as an improved tech-demo version.

so, their motivation is just to build up the game, they would like to play themselves? and what is best of all they made sure u don\'t need to run TCPAed and DRMed windoze to play :) this is cool, extremely cool. anyway looking forward to the next version, no matter what it might b called...
someone able to tell an expected release date? nothing exactly, just as hint, when the chances r good to check back in? (err well, bookmarked the test.php anyway :) )
don\'t argue with fools, first they pull u down to their level, then they beat u with experience.

Whilst it is certainly true that programming and 3D graphics designing are huge parts of any game that the player sees, there is more that has to be done.

Check out the Help Us section at the main Planeshift page ... there may be something there.

Oh, and welcome too, nice to see another GNU/Linux user  :))
