I'm all for evil chars causing havok but just like Sov said, it's much better and enjoyable when they do it with a purpose that's appealing to RP. An evil character/guild should provoke a response in others, be it fear, hate, violence or a frown. The best part of having an evil char around is being able to interact, not dueling but what leads to that. I loved running into Kergen, Beanius and Drahlian when the dwarven wars took place, there was always interesting things happening before we even draw swords. I think any successfully evil char/guild should try to have that reaction from people. Claiming to be the source of all evil or the greatest threat to Yliakum doesn't guarantee that people will buy it. Personally, when my char runs into someone she's never met claiming to be such she ignores them, thinking they're no real threat. I try to assess "threats" based on actions. Do something evil, don't just talk about it. And when you do something evil, make sure it gets to people (and be ready to face the consequences).
