very nice video, altough the date on it says 1999??  not really the "latest" technology :P.

Funny... most next-generation games wouldn't have anything close to this technology, and it's 7 years later...

And you just know the FBI and CIA had even better stuff than this back in 1999... Nowadays you could probably reconstruct a face by its shadow or something... :P


I always wondered how they put celebrities into games though...

Probably cause they wouldnt need it.
That and those meshes are high quality....  more so than m ost games consoles need or can deal with right now..

The only problems are...
A) No RP at all whatsoever. Its Just an MMOG
b) you cant see people outside of towns or outposts, unless they're in your group.
c) hard to explore alone because of overpopulation of monster NPCs

But on the bright side, there are alot of expansions.

Any of the three can run as a standalone game. If you want Content adn story line, go with Guild Wars: Prophacies
If you want Faction battles, war, or anything oriental, go with Guild Wars: Factions
If you want a decent storyline, adventure and trainable minions (heroes) then go with Nightfall.

But thats the beauty of the scheme my friend. Most MMORPG games people complain about people "Kill Stealing", and this stops it. Also, even if people in your party kill steal, you still get xp for it.

@Shimmabuku I watched your video, and its quite good! I also rated it 5 because it contained one of my FAVORITE cutscenes in an MMORPG. The scene where there are huge lumps of concrete infront of a door, then the door bursts open and the concrete flys away, and there are like 3 charr standing there XD

Gets me everytime.
