Hi everyone

Today I was just browsing on sourceforge.org website looking at the open source project (oh fun fun), related to a course I\'m doing at University (I\'m doing a degree in comp. sciences). I did a search with the word mmorpg and that project popped up in the result windows. I took a look at it and it looks amazing!

Unfortunatly I guess I arrived in a not so good moment (the servers are down), and I was so thrilled to check it out :P, oh well.

Just a quick intro bout myself: I\'m a student in comp sciences (I already said that :P), I play DnD 3e with my friends about 2-3 times per month, I love role playing games but I hate muds (I dont enjoy text-based games). I have alpha, beta tested a few games already ... my first one being Subspace (that\'s sorta old, like in 1996), then Shattered Galaxy, Elemental Saga (alpha/beta), Ragnarok Online (only the alpha, I dropped after the beta came out), tried out games like Elancia, Korean Shining Lore, El Kardian, a korean game named Karma Online, I also alpha tested a game named Fung Wan Online (it now in Beta, but I left because I don\'t like when a community grows in amount of pricks), and presently I\'m playing the now commercialized game Shattered Galaxy.

From what I\'ve seen so far, this game looks great (the screenshots are really eye-candy), the races look pretty cool (I don\'t know why but I love the diabola race already) :P... I haven\'t really checked the game settings and all, but is there Cleric/Healer paths (or abilities)...

Oh well I\'m starting already :P better stop here before I scare you guys :)

I\'m eager to see the game with my own eyes :P

I am glad you learned about PS before you actually posted something, I mean, really, it\'s quite interesting and you won\'t make an @$$ of yourself on the boards.

Welcome to the board, u\'re what every n00b would be like in a perfect world :). Don\'t worry MB should be out in a week or two(hopefully). So just sit back, relax, and enjoy political debates and just as imortant debates about pies and desk lamps :).

Warm welcome to you Raya :D

I know exactly what you mean about the downfall of communities, so far we\'ve done well here and it is a great community to be a part of, most would-be pricks tend to get driven away pretty quickly :))

I think you actually timed your arrival pretty well, as the next demo release is imminent, you may as well wait until it arrives before actually trying Planeshift out - see you in there ;)

Thanks all of you for the warm welcome

I took the time to read the info about the game and its context, pretty amazing and well detailed :)

Regarding the sig, thanks for the good comments, I guess I\'m not so bad at using photoshop hehehe, it\'s based on the game I currently play (http://www.sgalaxy.com)

Which one of the sites did you visit Kiern? PSGX is a site I am staff for and the other that is accessible on my www link is my personal site. Either way, thanks :)

As I said previously, I have a good background on testing games, so waiting is not really a problem for me Kiern :P

I hope that my somewhat \"experience\" will be helpful in any ways, and if not, I hope I\'ll have fun checking out this game. I\'m pretty impressed of this piece of work so far, and I give my two thumbs up.

Finally Rampage, I\'m a gal :P ... I\'m glad I\'m not the only nubi around o0; hehehehe
