I found it shortly after the last big update, but I couldn't figure out what to do with it either and had forgotten about it till I read this thread. :)  Maybe there is a related quest?

The process takes centuries of course...perhaps this particular kran was particularly evil and the gods decided to punish him. Perhaps I am blowing bubbles....

I went over there and looked. I figured the kran to be hanging from a cross or something.

Anyway, I noticed you can give things to the kran (even though he doesn't accept them). Give him a crystal and see what happens...they eat crystals you know.

1)  The 'K' in Kran is capitalised in the speaking lines, but not in the line 'You have been killed by Petrified kran'.
2)  The 'Petrified Kran' in the green line is slightly raised.
3)  Aren't NPC responses in the NPC tab,  not the main tab?
4)  "You have been killed been killed by"...

Amazingly, the most obvious mistake, number 4, took me the longest to notice.  I probably should have read your post more carefully.  X-/

NPC responses show up in the main tab as well. :P and the edited font, certain letters are slightly thicker than the normal font. I think a different one was used.

are you saying THE petrified kran is a player named petrified kran and attacked Ithorius (I'm pretty sure its an NPC), or are you saying that someone named themselves petrified kran... and killed Ithorius?...



EXCUSE THE SPOILER... but I had already guessed what it was with the other posts before I went to see it...

Whatever the case, why is the kran half in stone... or is he buried in sand?... Are krans able to connect with stone??... or perhaps there a substantial amount of magic involved here...

Yes, It does look a litte photoshopped now you mention it ^^

The killed by killed by does really give it away. Strange how you dont notice these things ^^
