The syetm works fine for poeple who challange at worst one time a day. For poeple who arent the buggers, but rather the defenders.
When it comes about people who tell, defend yourself! and then challange, it is very problematic.

You just have to put yourself on their side to understand how annoying it can be.
I have myself never experienced the problem, but people with whom i as fighting did.
You know, i don't like to challange, i like being challanged. I don't like suprises when the person accepts when is near me, just to actvate the macro  miliseconds after accepting the duel.
So i decline the random challange, and the person start ic explanations, so i tell that person to challange me again, but.... you already know what happens^^
Now tell me the system is beatifull. Ok, an ignorant will say that, but  ask you to stop being ignorant and tink about others instead of you.

How many times have I god damn said to stop picking out and quoting little sentences and saying crap that has nothing to do with the topic? It's getting on my nerves. Just quote the whole thread, it saves you some time and me some time trying to figure out which part of my post you're talking about without having to read over the entire thing again.

DaveG and Demarthl are gone, which makes easier, yet also harder, to get this fixed. Since they're gone, we don't have that dictator-ship feeling where they lay down rules and we have no say, yet also they were the only ones in control of this sort of things (or maybe others are but really don't care), so it's going to take longer to be compromised. Really right now it makes PvP impossible (player vs. player, NOT mass-dueling, don't even DARE pick out this sentence here and say a bunch of crap I don't even want to bother reading), and it's essential for guilds like the Outlaws.

oh but it does apply, sure, there are strangers, and you get the occasional mental case that runs past screaming, but no one does what you did to those peopel in their RP, and you havent met Kezzik ingame, i was not part of that rp, i was on a roof above where they were standing, simply sitting there and listening, pay attention hmm?

Dude, I don't even know what it is that I supposedly "did" to "those" people.  Why don't you send me a private message with the log of it to refreshen my memory?

I do claim I am someone who has been around here a long time, yes I am under a new alias, i was never ingenuine as to who i am ,i simply did not state -who- i am, but this isn't the place for this idle chit chat, you can shrug off whatever you like, i don't care for your excuses, i came in this thread to post about it's original topic, we trailed off too far.

You made vague statements, you belittled Zorbels, and you made claims without showing how you're an authority on such matters.  I think that borders on trolling.

As far as the ontopic stuff, if you still disagree with me, then I doubt there's anything I can write that will change your mind.  Again, feel free to send me private messages to fill in all the holes.

The duel spam and 'mugging' rejection is there to stop idiots from trying to 'murder' and mug people in broad daylight and public view in front of Harn's, or any crowd. I refuse to accept any duel in public based on the fact that it would be considered an assault on my character, and therefore illegal. As soon as the fools learn how to roleplay the after affects of committing a crime in public, such as banishment, then they have something to complain about. As I see it, I am stopping the person from making a bad RP mistake, and will often give them advice on what they are doing wrong.

Find me alone in a dark sidestreet, and I am fair game.

99% of people are not capable of following through with an ‘evil’ character’s roleplay. They just want the fun, but refuse the consequences.

ah, so clearly you were not IC, as otherwise you would remember being involved in part of an RP.

You made vague statements, you belittled Zorbels, and you made claims without showing how you're an authority on such matters.  I think that borders on trolling.

mm, no, I don't think I did, I simply pointed out that just because a name is unfamiliar doesn't mean they are clueless to the works of the GM's,  if i was to troll I'd do it blunty, like calling you a stuck up ass, that is trolling.

as for OT - I think Moon summed it up nicely there.

Actually, I mostly duel either outside the Hydlaa gates, the Jayose library section, or over there next to the steps leading up to the tavern (NOT RIGHT NEXT TO THE TAVERN. NO ONE QUOTE MY LITTLE SENTENCE HERE AND START GOING ON ABOUT POINTLESS CRAP ABOUT HOW I DIDN'T EXPLAIN SOMETHING CLEAR ENOUGH).

From now on I'm putting parenthesis next to almost every single sentence I think people will start quoting and going on and on about something stupid. I'm tired of people picking pieces and parts out of my thread and leaving out most of the details while going off topic. It takes enough time posting, but then I have someone picking pieces and parts out of one of the posts I've made, then I have to scroll up or go to another page to figure out which it's from, read it again to see what I said, then go all the way back and see what you're talking about. I've done it enough and I'm tired. Just quote my entire thread and stop with the little pieces and parts quote game. It's seriously getting on my nerves.

For example, Kezzik, you're doing it. And you persist to do it in every post you make, it's annoying. Just quote zanzibar's entire post and then type, it saves you and everyone else a lot of time and annoyance.

The whole point is to only respond to the bits that are relevant and not have more quote than actual post content :/

I normally copy-paste the quote start with the link in it so that people can easily click back to the post.

you still wouldn't have the problem if you actualyl asked the players.

peopel split up others posts when quoting to betetr direct what each comment is directed at, it's quoted just above their own comment so you cant lose track of what they mean.

I know I'm doing it, this is how I post, don't like it, don't read it, simple as. and i actually find posts easy to read when broken down if quoted.

Well right now you're only doing it do go off-topic. Every person I see doing this sentence picking always trails off and goes off-topic. Just stop, it's not contributing anything.

Why nobody is quoting me? ;P i kind of agree with most of Suno comments on topic, but while people constantly disagree with suno, as i see it, nobody disagres with me ;P

They disagree with me because they're stubborn and never see others' points of view. It's just like how you might hate someone for looking at porn, but then love it once you start. Right now people disagree with everything I say, but once they actually see what I'm talking about, like how annoying the multiple quote thing is, or how duel points are important, they'll grow to accept the idea.

Well, I for one do not see, nor ever will see how duel points are important. If you want to show how many people you have defeated, just put a belt in your description with notches on it. Or a club, like 'Gangs of New York'. Duel points, giving and taking, are completely out of character, and are there only to fluff the -player's- feathers, not your character. Your character should not even know they are there. If you wish to argue with that, first answer me who gave them to you in the first place.

I wouldn't know people by name, maybe they would be a total stranger to me? The points themselves are really just a collection for me, I don't "give them away" or anything. Even if they have no use, they're still valuable to me, no matter what anyone says.

ah, so clearly you were not IC, as otherwise you would remember being involved in part of an RP.

That's a really dumb thing to say.  I'm expected to remember every single passing interaction I have with other characters?  Now you're definately just trolling.

Kiirani showed me the log.  Not only was I in character, but there was nothing wrong with what I said.

It's possible that you missed this thread.  I suggest you study it.

You made vague statements, you belittled Zorbels, and you made claims without showing how you're an authority on such matters.  I think that borders on trolling.

It's nice that you don't think you trolled, but you made vague statements, you belittled Zorbels, and you made claims without showing how you're an authority on such matters.  If you don't see such behaviour as trolling, then we simply have a difference of opinion.
