The Prophet of Talad
« on: November 06, 2006, 12:26:15 pm »
[RP]

"A Kran enters the Hydlaa Plaza with an almost delirious smile on his face. He attracts the attention of the crowd of people around the blacksmith. This Kran has not been seen before. He looks around at the Blacksmith Parlour. He is wearing modest rags, he carries a light backback with holes in the bottem and a straw hat. He is prehaps around 2.5 meters tall and has extremely rare minerals embeded in his neck. He has a various number of glowing Glyphs in a sack slung over his back. He smiles at the mixture of races around him and speaks, 'My friends...Salvation is come...'"

Background of Dalat Tabei
This Kran, called Dalat Tabei, claims to the son of Talad. A Prophet sent by the great being himself to warn the inhabitants of Yliakum about the coming of Talads judgement and to sway the peoples loyalty to Lannx, who Dalat descibes as a traitor and an imposter. Whether you decide to believe Dalat and follow his teachings is up to you [Use your characters personality].

You have heard rumours about the Kran performing amazing feats, that he has travelled beyond Yliakum and the Labyrinths and even that he prevented a dwarf from dying of the Hammerwielder Flu.

[The rest is up to you and your characters mind]  :innocent:

(OOC: Please add a reply saying how your character will react to give me an idea of the general consensus) :whistling:

*Holdan greets the newcomer, but with a hint of caution, none the less he views this kran as nothing more then a healer, and thus doesn't mind his stay in hydlaa.*

* Eagel is lookin in his sack for and axe which has looted to a mercenary, but he is listening to the Kran.
After selling the axe to Harnquist, Eagel pass infront this Kran and look at him, raise his eyebrow and think: "So many races, so many languages, so many religions under the Azure Sun... I'm not a believer, but I respect them. I hope he continue his labor helping others..."
Eagel grab his falchions and leads to Hydlaa doors, He must reach Oja Road...*

*Me turns away disgusted, hoping that this is not getting another prophet hurting her ears while she stands at Harnquist.

* Siteri Kidachi is disappointed at his lack of desire to reconcile Talad and Laanx.

* Rhicora Sullo wishes he would go away.

*me is curious to what is exactly going on in this charismatic Kran's mind, she keeps her opinion to herself and instead watches his movments and actions carefully...wondering how he uses his claim

'she lies with her arms flung out as if to embrace the whole hyancinth-scented, watermelon-colored world.'

thinks "This Kran will have to prove himself to be true, and not another seeking only their own gain, humm perhaps this one is worth keeping an eye on. Though how a Kran can be the son of Talad  in a different way than any other Kran remainds a mystery and a source of suspicion."

* Parallo smiles to himself and shakes his head.
"Talad... haha..."
I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

[dalat, krans can max be 2.1 meters tall :)]

* Peacer breaks his meditation and smiles a bit at the kran and his aura before watching him curiously "Hmm, might watch this one" he thinks and relaxes trying to learn more from his aura

* ThomPhoenix laughs at the poor Kran who must've gotten dillusional because of the long trip: "Religion is for weaklings".

[OOC]
"and to sway the peoples loyalty to Lannx" must be "and to sway the people's loyalty from Laanx"
We're not evil. We're simply amazing.

[I'm impressed by this if only for the reason that he's taken extreme care to present himself as someone who is merely claiming to be Talad's prophet.  I will keep my roleplaying restricted to in-game.]
