Yes, the wipe...! It will bring the world back into balance, and then we can REALLY play the game.

The last wipe of over 50 dmg weapons was a good thing, coz it eliminated the main problem and over time it made everything balanced by itself, without total wipe.

Yes, I went down on that wipe too. Actually, I do not find the game all that hard to play as a new character. I sincerely look forward to this. Call me crazy... tends to clear out the griefers too. At least the stale ones... sigh. And it is very cool watching the balances come into "play".

Won't a wipe hurt the game more than help?

Not at all.  I've been through a number of wipes, including one where everyone had to start their characters and guilds over from scratch.  I think that it makes things more interesting, even though it's a nuisance in certain ways.  It actually livens things up a heck of a lot.  What I'm not looking forward to though is retraining my character.  Levelling up isn't something I enjoy, but it's necessary if you want to get money and solve quests.

I guess that's more of an opinion but i heard alot of members left after the last wipe.

No, I don't think so.  At least I didn't see anything that would suggest that.

There were a couple who said they would.  Not sure if they did or not, I think most of them are still around.

I've been waiting for a wipe for...forever. I'll finally be able to play and not get looked down on in roleplay because of my low character stats.

Hehheh, that'll last about a week unless you are going to train yourself after the wipe. I hope you don't get too much guff in-game as it is though.

Yeah, i was going to say the same. False hope Suno ;) Maybe instead, your character should recal what he was doing once, that now he feel so weak? ;)

A whipe won't hurt me all that much. That is one of the few benefits of being a newbie. ;D Besides, I've heard that the whipe might also get the pants off the smith table. I loathe those pants. :@#\

No, the next release will very likely get those pants away. A bit crude to wipe an entire database for a few pants. :)
We're not evil. We're simply amazing.

I know, I'm not saying the whipe should be done simply to remove THE PANTS OF EVIL. Im' just saying it would be another benefit added on to the one being discussed.

Wipes can actually be a great asset for testing. It gives you the possibility of going crazy and spending all your hard earned stuff on trying something out (say, the magic system), without having to clear up the mess afterwards.

I believe he means buying stuff knowing that there will be no consequences because everything will end up wiped.
