Mounts

Hey, just need info if there are ever going to be mounts in planeshift (horses, dragons ect...)
and if so, any idea when they will be added and how mutch theyl cost?

It does mention them in the settings thing, but yeah, it will be some time before that happens, lots of other things would have priority i would expect

I wouldn't be so pessimistic about things that are actually mentioned on the website.

Saske: Yes, there will definitely be mounts but no horses and no dragons - rather beasts that are a bit more unique to the Yliakum. You may find some small similarities however (as indeed it is difficult to create something 100% original). Concerning prices, the website mentions that you will be able to buy a healthy, trained pterosaur for 45,000 tria, but this isn't set in stone right now.

I doubt they have too much control on the economy, (except for weakening it lol and lowering inflation).

About the price, i think it's near right.

A mount will become a Need, a necessity one day.

I think it will be years if they even start working on one, but if they do and finish the work within my lifetime, then i'd say 45k sounds good.

Ofcourse if they wanted to make mounts a luxury, then i'd say more like 200k for each lol

That would take some hard work to mine.

Well, the current inflation in-game is due to bugs. Wipes and adjustments may see 45k tria as an enormous fortune once mounts become possible.

so are there only going to be the two flying ones or are there going to be walking ones aswell, because i have to say. it gets REALLY anoying having to walk between cities every time i die, or a friend dies and makes me leed them through hell.
being an enkidukai it gets anoying.
i was hopind there would be a faster way between cities coming soon.

Enkidukai won't be the only race who don't spawn in Hydlaa, not by a long shot.

Mounts are low on the list of priorities, I'm sure, so as Datruth says, don't expect them too soon.

As for less expensive and prestigious mounts.  I imagine there will be, infact, they will probably come before the flying mounts.

Take a look at the problems we are having with the pet system. Pets are far less complex than mounts, and yet they've been causing havoc on the server enough to make us limit how long they can be summoned for. It's quite a walk from one city to another right now, but in the Big Picture our world is too small to start working on mounts.

I would have expected mounts to function in the same way as they do in W*W, its not something that hangs around or follows you, you conjure it (or call it from its perch in the mountains for an RP way to go) then it just effectively gives you a change of sprite and a change of speed (flight aswell I suppose, which I doubt is too hard, if you can walk up hills I wouldnt have figured flight was such a huge leap of programming). IMO this method would be much less complex than how pets are implemented

well for the moment, isnt there some way i can appear in the other city instead of my own to save time?
like if when you go through the death realm exit a list apears of where you can go to.
because with me being the only Enkiducai out of my friends, it kind of spoils the fun of the game having to constantly rush between towns whilst my friends get off really easily.
i just feel as though im missing out and wish you could have a choice of where you re-spawn to.
like on a game i used to play called endless online before i came back on to planeshift. you could talk to an npc at some point in the town to set it that you go there when you die.
it would be uselfull.
i know i seem to be asking a bit mutch but im shore alot of people will agree with me.

That is not how the Death Realm functions, and adding such a function simply out of convenience won't happen :> Dying isn't too hard to avoid.

i know its easy to avoid, but i have just introduced a LOT of people to planeshift and none of them will listen when i tell them not to go for the really big monsters and about every 2 minuits i get a message saying "Saske... please will you come show me the way out of hell i attacked that big thing we saw and i died!"
and if i dont help them they get in a huge stress and have a go at me in school the next day ¬_¬
