Then why have a meeting? Surley there was some reason for it?

@Datruth
From the time we opened to the 6.1.

What's the 6.1?

I hope this isn't a long period.

Sixth of the First I'd say.

So, 5% interest per month? Just to see if I understand the math involved, pretend I borrow 500k. I would then owe you:

500,006 (after 10 minutes)
500,034 (after 1 hour)
500,802 (after 1 day)
505,642 (after 1 week)
525,000 (after 1 month)
670,048 (after 6 months)
897,928 (after 1 year)
174,455,993 (after 1 decade)
2,585,529,196,449,337,144 (after 5 decades)
13,369,922,451,383,910,050,862,730,739,374 (after 1 century)

Correct?

Interesting first post... :P

The thing I don't get is... if you don't have the money to begin with, how are you supposed to pay them back? It's not like in real-life where you can use the money to start a business or invest in stock or even gamble...

Mining or finding a bunch of silverweaves seems to be about the only thing we could do, and we could do that anyway...

this is very useful in 2 situations:
1) a new player borrows money.  He invests it in quite a bit of training and some average weapons.  He is then able to fight stronger monsters that give decent loot and now he can pay the bank back.
2) If a player wants to buy something from someone but doesn't have the money and doesn't have time to get more money before the item is sold to another buyer, the player could borrow money and pay it back in a short amount of time.

That's true, but large-scale withdrawals like the 500k Smariot was talking about seems kinda pointless...

Rejoice! All the investors money is gone! The Bank has 150k left, we will use that money as a kind of backup, as there is a loss of 99%.

This is... not good. We have to burn someone for this. I say one of the GM's.
