There has probably been many cheesy topics like this bit I have to say... Thank you Planeshift! I could never find an MMO with a great community, gameplay, and also has RPing in it! If you said in runescape Ukaring takes a sip of ale People would put you away! See what I am saying? I guess this is a thanks thread then. Post you thanks to Planeshift here.

However, the RP-mindset of PS would not be possible (at least not to this degree) without support from the community itself. True, there are elements in this community that would much prefer to change PS into RS ASAP. It is the rest of the community that stands true to PS's goal of RP and thereby makes these elements either RP (to a bare minimum at least) or leave after a while.
This is, BTW, why some people complain that PS players are highly protective / elitist about RP. This is so, but not in the negative way which is usually implied. In fact, with PS being the only (actually playable) RP-oriented MMO"RP"G, this mindset is highly appropriate. There are too many RS's out there already, PS doesn't need to become one of them.
