I can't play PS with client 017

Hi everyone

I can't play PS with client 017,
First I installed the game after starting it, and logging in with my char "Eletiy Baradus" the game crashed and there was and Error (something unexpected happend in planshift: details: Expection_access_violation at 0050CFB5), I tried it about 3times after I reinstalled it completly, no change, than I went into ps-irc, there a GM, restored my char many times....

<Caarrie> all i can suggest is you make a forum post about this and mention you have been restored to many places with no solution so far

(I can log in with an other char of mine, but not with eletiy...

I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME TO GET ELETIY BACK,

This may sound funny but it worked. My friend was having the same problem and I was not, so I logged in with his character and it worked. Then he tryed again and it worked for him. (You can always change passwords if you are woriied about security.) I have no Idea why this worked but it did.

 It is worth a try, and if you do try let us know if it worked for you.

* Eletiy is extremly happy, IT IS WORKING! I can log in!!!!! 

I gave a friend of mine my log in information and he (os: linux) could login with eletiy, after that I tried to log in but there was still the same error, I said to him he should delete my description and take away all my armor, he did that, and after a restart I COULD LOG IN! hurray hurray!

(probably that description or armor errors depends on the os you're running...)

i tried the ";" thing but still crashing at bd usualy same codes to, got the newest whql drivers by the way
it's funny, as soon as the "sun" comes up it usualy starts

You could try and get some drivers that havent been certified by MS yet. The certification process slows down the driver releases and is also pretty meaningless. those that arnt certified normally contain more bug fixes and features earlier.

yeah i know about the while whql bit but these are the first that seem to work really ok for the first time since i got this new card but i'm not sure id take thouse non beta out there, almost never try betas eather, if i don't really have problems with the officials

Im not totally sure if they are still being produced but a website called 'Guru 3D' release some hacked nVidia drivers, ive tried them a couple of times and they seemed ok. maybe worth a try but if you dont like to use Beta drivers then hacked drivers may not be what you want either

thats what i mean't, i go as low as betas as i've had my shear of problems with drivers and i allready use the 93.71 drivers

  I couldn't log in with Stonn until this. I was just getting done celebrating at Harquist's and the server goes down  Thanks to Durwyn and Enar! I was going through PS withdrawls whew.

Actually, I found I can log in with the font set to 75% which is much more legible. I'm reluctant to erase my wordy description but still needed to be able to read while I waited for the fix. Thought I'd share.
