transparent rocks and blured trees
« on: November 24, 2006, 04:57:05 pm »
I saw that when I get near a rock or stalactite, it becomes transparent.
And usually, when I spin the trees or even houses, they left a trail... like a movement blur

Here are two screenshots.

are this a bug of my client?
It doesn't bother me, just informing what I see...

Thanks! :)

You are not the only one. My man is also having the same transparent look on the chairs and stones. He is using the Linux version. Are you using it too?

Spotting you!

Yes, it's the linux client.
And I see it in chairs, and even in some walls, but at both sides of screen

Same here (also on Linux), though I haven't seen the transparency yet. The "blur" looks kinda like a slow-refreshing LCD display...but my screen's an ordinary CRT. Btw, anybody know whether the new glaringly bright ground texture out in the hills (all yellow and white on the nearby ground in direct sunlight) is just an artifact of the Linux client, or is it a new 'feature'?

Well, the banners in the Arena are transparant to me, but I do see the shadows. When I look at them from the wall side (which is hard) then I can see them.

I can confirm the "blur" thing on Linux. Sometimes it works ok and then it can be really bad.

Reloading the map by entering another map or restarting the client makes things either better or worse.

Hello !

I can also confirm the problem with leaving tracks on a SUSE 10.0. with a NVidia card. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it is terrible.

In addition I cannot see the dirt roads on both ojaroad maps. The whole ground is a uniform greenish texture.

Blurring confirmed on Gentoo Linux 2006.1 CRT with 1280x1024@85(antialiasing 4x and 16x Anistrophic) nVidia GPU.
Haven't seen transparency thought.

Is the black ground and holes/missing polygons at the waterfall a bug, or just incompleteness?
It looks like the ground texture would be missing for a half of the map...
I can't see heights because of that, so I very often just fall and die there...

I get both too...The sky plays up sometimes, (it only happened to me in the town...WORST PART)
It has no reset picture thingy bob...sometimes. I also noticed that if you customize and rewrite ur profile/description, each new sentence, the curser disappears, you need to click on the new line to get it back...It's bad because if you carry on typing with no cursor like that, an error comes up forcing PS to close!  >:(  X-/

Plus has anyone noticed the little bush in front of the rock? (in gold mine) It makes the rock have a transparent square.
