Session verification failed

Since a few days, i always get the message

"Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."

when i hit the "Mark as read"-button. If i do as the message suggests, i get the same thing again.
Any hints, what i am doing wrong?

The forums were updated a few days ago so not sure if that is an issue there.  You might try searching on http://www.simplemachines.org/ to see if anybody else has similar issues with the forum software.

I searched, but i couldnt find a solution that worked for me. Tried deleting the cookies as suggested there, but i still have the same problem.

The default forum theme needs to be updated with the changes in the latest SMF 1.1 version. You can change your theme to something else and it should work fine then.

Switching to another skin solved the problem. Thanks for the hint.
