client, setup and updater crash on launch, with logs
« on: December 16, 2006, 06:41:14 pm »
I'm just trying Planeshift for the first time, after eagerly awaiting a release that should run with the current servers. I'm using the PlaneShift_CB_Mac_017.dmg that I got as a BitTorrent.  I think I've read all the pertinent posts, and haven't been able to solve a repeated crash-on-lunch problem, so I'm gong to post my crash logs. I seem to be having trouble wtih "libSystem.B.dylib". I get the same basic crash reports when I try to run the updater, too, so I haven't included them in this post. Hope this is helpful.

OS 10.3.9
1.12 gigs RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 128 megs VRAM

 - thanks

I see that someone else is having this problem in the "bouncy bouncy" thread, but since I find the bouncing icons annoying, I have that optoin turned off. Same library libSystem.B.dylib, seems to be causing the problem. I've checked and fixed all permissions, re-installed a fresh copy from the .dmg. No joy.

I"ll follow up on that thread to keep things tidy.
