advertising

after reading through some of the game's back history and the recruitment page i noticed that you seemed interested in advertising idea's
i play quite a few online rpg's and MMORPG's and most of them seem to use certain "voting" sites wich members of the game would vote for it and the more votes gained the higher up a "leaderboard" your game is advertised.

also i would recomend you check this site out http://www.game-advertising-online.com/index.php?section=user&action=register&t=pub as it may give you a little income as well as more players. however it would involve putting a banner add somewhere in the website/forums
(i noticed that allot of other online rpgs use the above also)

Personally, I feel that the best advertising is to to have the best product.  That, or hold a monopoly on the lines of distribution.

agreed but however if you have the best product but noone knows about it then you are going nowhere fast.
but all in all it was just an idea to atract more members which would help in the testing and besides the links for the top few posted sites are all tiny little buttons that arent overly obtrusive.  if done properlly i have seen some of the above hugly increase the amount of players without being overly anoying to everyone concerned
