TRY this , run updater first, then.
Remove Version.dat
Then go to data/gui.
Remove the following.
questnotebook.xml
interact.xml
illumination.xml
gmguiwindow.xml
gmaddeditaction.xml
borderlist.xml
Then run updater.
this Works for me, a big thank you to Talad, for looking into the problem, and comming up with this temporary fix.
