Can anyone explain this? My newb sis is stronger than me!

Hi guys... I hope you can solve this. Since the update fixing the crafting, or maybe the one jst before, I can't even make a dent in a pack of butter, while my noob sister kills gladiators in the arena without a scratch... Here's the breakdown:

I hope anyone can solve this, because I can't even kill something that will give me some PP's so I can train. I was used to whack the gladiators and rogues in the arena. (In the hallway with the Dermorian and Kran gladiator) I just can't understand why I can't even kill a simple Tefusang anymore.

Thanks for your time... I will try to get something easier in the meantime. I just hope I can find something to kill without dying myself first.

So one character has level four Light Armour and is actually wearing armor. The other character has 0 level Light Armour and is wearing no armor at all. That would probably make a noticeable difference.

El, I think he's saying he has 4 LA and is wearing LA and his sister has 0 LA and is not wearing armor, but SHE can kill glads and HE can't.  I think he is also saying he has weapons skill and she doesn't, but she can still kill glads and he can't.

But I'd like to point out, there are tefus and there are tefus.  He may have gone up against the super tefu in the arena...

From what he posted, Andoryn should be the more advanced character...

Check the quality of your weapons and armour. If they're getting below half, they become really difficult to do/absorb damage.

Can't be the weapons... Dinthaka has only a few sword bought from Harnquist. I have silver falchions and a crafted sword by Einnol. Far better. And yes, we're sisters, and both female.

Besides that, I have a fresh, full set of leather armor, and Dinthaka has NONE.

But, strangest thing, she's doing the things I was getting used to, while I feel like a newb now... Rats for me, while she's killing gladiators.

Check the quality on YOUR weapons.  You use them awahile without repairing them, they will be worse off than store bought ones.

You didn't mention all these variables, so it was a very safe assumption on the part of everyone replying that you might have missed this all. What differences are there in the quality of armor and (slash of) weapons you are using?

Hey Andoryn, you have to remember people of ALL skill levels play this game and many won't know you from Adam (or Eve).  Most assume they are helping a new player (I often do) whether  the person being helped is new or not ('cause they don't know him/her personally). 

They are just trying to help.  Please don't think they are belittling your skills.  Also know that these posts live on for a LONG time.  The problem you are having may be encountered by someone that IS actually a new player and some of the suggestions may be the answer to their problem.  The suggested help isn't meant to put you down by insulting your intelligence, but to actually help you. 

So if you have already examined "the obvious" suggestions offered so far, just say, "I thought of that and that isn't it" so that other solutions can be suggested.

Personally, I think you've found some sort of bug.  So you may have to provide even more information.

I use 2 Silver falchions to attack, Quality 49/50 Speed 1.90 Slash 2.20. But I get hurt, even with my armor, which is only slightly worn. Even when I take out my longsword, made by master smith Einnol Feldorm, which has a quality of 166/50, speed 2.10, slash 2.20, I still die. (Which is not that weird, as the falchions are more useful in combat.)

My sister has no armor, and uses a single shortsword, Quality 23/50 Speed 2.00 Slash 2.00. She kills the gladiators without a scratch.

So, at least it can't be the weapons, nor the armor that I wear.

Yes, she has a bit more Intelligence, and Endurance. But I have better agility, strenghth, will, charisma, better training in weapons and armor, and at least I have armor. But it does me no good. First I thought that the chainmail armor may be at fault, so I switched back to leather, but to no avail. It makes no difference whatsoever.

If those few points in Intelligence make this much a difference, then I think there's something wrong.

Well, I know what I can see. I can compare all the numbers I can conjure up and I sort of know what they mean aswell. Except for one enigmatic number in the inventory screen that seems without description, and is usually 0.

Yes, the messages I'd love to see again aswell... Attacked the <take any bodypart> and was blocked.

There's nothing wrong with the combat situation. And ofcourse I'm proud my sister handles herself so well, but I find it weird she's doing so well, when I'm supposed to teach her the ropes and fail miserably.

By the way, the Tefusang I was referring to in the beginning, was just a normal one, in the neighbourhood of Ojaveda. You probably know what I mean. There's quite a herd of them there. But whatever I try, be it in the sewers, be it in the country, be it in the arena, all I could kill before with conciderable ease, is now too tough for me. Even the roaming rogue that only gives 80 experience, would have killed me if I hadn't had a stock of superior healing potions. But I ran out of those quite soon.

The Tefu near Oja only need about 3 to 4 hits before I have to run off with my bruised body and ego. I haven't even had a proper chance to hit back. He's maybe down 10 to 20% while I only have 5% left. I've been killing these with considerable ease for Toda before though.

I'm just saying, it's not adding up. If anyone wants to accompany me and my sister to witness it all for themselves, be my guest. I'm around quite a lot. Just hollor.
