 ;D

the game is spose to mimike real life in some fashion.. and whats more real then some random guy throwing a paper in your face?  come on.. "sigh this.." hehe.. having someone removed from a guild auto like would be.. well.a bad idea.. if you dont like what a guild MEMBER does. then talk to the LEADER... of said guild.. you dont see me hating a guild or.. since i am a guild leader (for now) delcaring war on a guild cuz i see a MEMBER of another guild botting or some such b/s. dont hate a guild cuz of one player... and also.. some guilds might be really good.. but have no means to get more in to thier guild.. so they ask random players ;) (not like thats what we do or nothing  :sweatdrop: )

Why would a guild want more members if the quality of said members is always in question? How can a guild truely profess good leadership if people that have never even heard of it are being invited. I know of a particular incident where a player was in the game for a total of about fifteen seconds and was invited to join the guild*. It just served as a tag because they didn't role play. They weren't that fussed about helping him either.

I suggest the statue of Laanx gets turned into a statue of Parallo <3. An NPC could never replace the huge hole he left in my heart when he died  :'(

Maybe this could be made a non-issue by flipping it around so a person needs to 'apply' to a guild rather than be 'invited'... i dunno..

I have seen this idea mentioned before and I absolutely love it.  Making the perspective member apply to a guild has the effect of at least putting a little bit of emphasis back on them to seek out and pick a guild that they like.  The guild invite permission could be replaced with two permissions:  'View pending applications' and 'Approve/reject applications'.  There would still be the shouts of "Anyone want to apply to my guild", but  there is probably little that can be done about that with mechanics.  This system would eliminate guild invite spamming completely tho.

:whistling: erm to be honest, i tried reading everything but my attention span wanted me to write *blush*

oks about the being a member of multiple guilds (with or without full memebership benefits) i think is a realistic idea. i mean its kinda like having a badge you knows? showing your specialties and your loyalties. and from those "badges" (i suppose it could be anything, maybe thats what the whole colors things were about *shrug*) people know little bits about you..like your interests or family lineage or whatever

eheheh i think itd be a cool idea...might decrease on the whole "loyalty to your guild" theme thats usually prevalent, but when so many of us drop adn join guilds to find the right one...it shouldnt decrease too much :)

Colors is an ancient idea that has survived down to modern times. It started as a flag or banner that was a distinctive color. Like a wide ribbon attached to a pole that indicated who and where a particular leader was in medieval warfare, or the flag flown from the topmast of a sailing ship indicating which country and whose command it sailed under. It has been applied to biker gangs wearing their leathers with the gang name sewn onto the back.

not to mention alowing such easy targets to get picked off  ;D

ANYWAY... we still need an ic way to identify guilds by sight :) i just brought up badges not cus i support it.. but cus thats what someone used for me and my guild :) but we could have a guild clothing line  :woot:.. well no.. but like the guilds letters or w/e can be stampled into armor and such :)

:whistling:hmmm character descriptions are supposed to be ic right? like what yu can see or feel about the person.

when i was in the felecitious fenkis all the guild members put in their profile something similar to this "on her right chainmail arm lies a golden patch with the words Felecitious fenkis"

or something like that.

i dunnos, i thought it was ic. and its possible to do with what we have now.

Mainly see. You can't say your character strikes fear into the hearts of men. Or that it makes the perceiver crazed with lust. You can say it seems to be quite a rough guy. Or that it looks attractive.

As far as a guild tags are concerned, I think the current tagging system isn't too bad. Just as you have the name of the character on its head. We usually ask the name anyway. However one could know maybe because one heard someone mentioning the name a while ago.
Imposing crests and colors wouldn't be nice.

As far as being able to join multiple guilds, I couldn't agree more. It would improve our current guild system.

The Empire has its own way of dealing with both these issues though, as we have a way of permitting people to be in two imperial guilds at the same time, and we will get to use uniforms and marks.
Ah, there you go. Quality.
