Yes bigfoot, i played on Avalon Hibernia.
and from the servers start on, we were the underdogs (800hib,1000mid,1600alb).
Only good communications empowered us to hold all 6 relics for more than 3 weeks (btw. the first time on all daoc servers hibernia was able to do that), and this was not zerglion tactics. These sometimes were well organised strategic battles there, where u were told to grab yar 2 parties waiting there behind the hill for further commands, and when u were ordered to come u knew for sure u will get the enemy from behind.

it does not matter how the wars r called, but it matters if u r able to plan and organise the assault by aspects like territory, available resources for siegewarfare and the question who are our best crafters to build them on the battlefield, and how to protect them while steering these weapons.
MMORPG for me is something like an advanced egoshooter for grownups. because kids can\'t deal the excitement of preparing such warfare and hold lines untill they r ordered to attack, because they prefer to get killed just to have seen the enemy because of their singleplayer attitudes. it\'s a matter of discipline and u won\'t have these in arenas.
