Target Icon

Is there by any chance a way to change the target icon or have the ability to change it manually myself?

The hot pink arrow thing-a-magig is kinda getting on my nerves. It is really out of place for me. Maybe no one else has any problem with it and that is fine, but me personally it is too distracting and out of place.

If it can't be changed then that really sucks and I guess I'll just have to target stuff less often.

If I can change it, where exactly is the icon, I have checked through the game directory but can't seem to locate it.

The marker graphic is \PlaneShift Crystal Blue\art\effects\marker02.dds - but I'm not sure where the color for it is specified :] If you've never worked with DDS before, here are some tools from Nvidia.

Colors are defined in data\effects\misc\target.eff. You probably need to change all the colour tags there.

i'm actually annoyed by the shape.
It seems to be two patterns spining in opposite direction. The thing is that with the FPS i have, it looks like there are only two positions the target marker may be in ;P It hurts an eye if you start caring about it^^
I gues the effect would be better if it was one pattern spinning in only one direction.
There was some mods once, to bad they are probably lost forever, because they looked really good. Some people just don't have strenghts to get stuff in game, because it isn't that simple.
