You have to understand that the next step is up to you - it's all in your hands now. If you don't want to listen, the forums are going to be a dead-end for you now and forever.

Makevali... don't take this the wrong way... but you're an idiot.   At least when it comes to computer stuff.

I'm absolutely serious here; you have no idea what you're talking about, so your best bet is to listen very carefully to what we're saying.

The "Fragnetics" you're referring to is a read-out of the "ping" (in other words, the strength of your connection) to the Fragnetics server. Since it's 0, it means you are not connected to the server.

Since you're posting on this forum, that means your internet is obviously functioning fine otherwise, so it's an issue that's specific to your computer's compatibility with this game.


Now here's the answer to what you were talking about: If you type your IP Address into the Firefox browser, you'll open the Modem configuration window. It'll ask for a username and password - unless it's been changed, the username is your Modem's model no. (which is 'WBR1310' for you) and the password is 'admin' (again, unless somebody changes it)

You can then fiddle with almost anything, including that 7777 port, but be very careful about it. Follow a guide or something.

I think that's what you were talking about, but I'm not so sure it'll help.

Some other points that might help (or help others solve this ):
- the USB adapter mentioned is a wireless thingy. Are you sure the 11Mb is the speed of your internet connection, and not only for the wireless (for which 11Mb is a standard value). Still this may not help much, as a router connected to a phone line seems improbable, and anything faster should be enough. A wireless connection may also not be very stable, but you would notice that by being disconnected from Laanx often.
- Where are you in the game? My framerate drops drastically when I enter big regions (hydlaa plazaa, but especially Bronze doors, where my on board graphics card only manages 5 seconds a frame). This lag normally dissappears after a short while though, and should not be the case with a 256Mb NVidea card
- Are you running any other programs in the background? My virsusscanner became active (doing a scan) slowing the game down to 1 fps. Try disabling your virusscanner for a while (but be sure to enable it before you start doing other things such as downloading files or opening emails).

If any of these are relevant, my bet is on the last one.

Yeah, and the password and user name may not be that either.

In your address bar on firefox (or any browser) type 192.168.0.1

Your Username is admin and your default password is nothing, leave it blank.

On the page that opens you must click at the top of the page where it say 'Advanced'

This has opened a new page, on the menu on the left click 'Port Forwarding'

Now, this is where the manual gets a bit rubbish, from what I can tell you need to click the top check box, enter a name in the name box (maybe Planeshift), enter the fragnetics IP address in the IP address box, under the port column enter 7777 in the start box and 7777 in the end box just below it. Now on the dropdomn menu under the headin 'Traffic type' select UDP.

Choose save settings.

This probably wont work anyway because you already said you can get access so I wouldnt think this is even your problem :-/

i'm near harnquist and i go to the sewers and i think the numbers i got to put on mozzila firefox the website shows a dirffrent d link from the one i'm using and it doesnt show and also i cant find the 'Port Forwarding' on the side it just says:

Let me start over.

Your router has a certain model name. If it's not the one I gave a link to earlier, it's another - this you have to find. The model name of your router should be somewhere physically on your router. Once you know this name, search for it on the D-Link website. D-Link holds manuals for all the available routers, and these go into detail on how to work with them and how to adjust individual settings (ports included).

If you can't find the name of your router, please ask family members to help you out. I thought that you already explained the situation to your brother as well.

I feel like you're not paying attention at all to what I'm posting. There's only so much I can do before I give up and move onto something else - since I'm trying to help you, it would be a very good idea on your part to actually follow the instructions or suggestions I give out.

Are you going to find the model of your router and search for a manual?

Enter that into your browser (firefox) to access your router's setup. You might be prompted for a username and password - the default username is usually blank and the password is admin, but someone in your family might have changed it (and a good idea it is). If you're prompted for these and nothing you enters works, time to ask family for help. Otherwise, onwards to see what options your router has. My router's port settings are located on a page I have to click an "Advanced" link to access. I don't know how it works for your router, which is again why I keep telling you over and over that having the manual is a good idea.
