Skill colour bars
« on: January 15, 2007, 04:50:55 pm »
Hi,

let me ask you another question.

I dont understand the graphic representation of the skills, with all those colored bars.

There are red, yellow, blue and green bars that supposedly represent my skills, but i dont get to know how they work

When I buy, train or use skills they don't seem to change. Could someone explain how they work please (or point out a link to an explanation) ?

thanks.

yellow is the amount of training that you have to do
red is the amount of practice left to do
blue is the amount of pp scaled for skill level
green is progress to a fully gained level
may laanx frighten the shadow from my path.
hardly because the shadow built the lexx.
the shadow will frighten laanx from my path.

To expand on that;

The little blue bar reflects how many PPs it will take to reach the next level in a skill; when the blue bar goes as far as, or goes past the yellow bar, then you have enough PPs to train up that skill.

As you purchase 'training' from an NPC, the yellow bar will fill with green. When the yellow is fully filled with green, you can start practising. As you practice, the now-green bar will increase, over-taking the red part. When the red part is completely replaced by green, the bar will reset to the way it was before (yellow), and your skill will increase by 1.

And sorry if you got all that from Steuben's post ;)
